Sony Xperia E1 and Xperia E1 Dual feature similar set of specifications,
except the dual SIM connectivity in the later. Sony has packed 4-inch
touchscreen display with 800x480 pixel resolution in these handsets.
These are powered by the dual-core 1.2 GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon 200
mobile chipset and have 512 MB RAM which seems like passé. By default,
both smartphones run Android 4.3 Jelly Bean update with Sony Mobile
packed optimisations on top of it.
Sony Xperia E1 and E1 Dual offer a 3 megapixel camera with HD recording
at the rear. However, the on-board storage is mere 4 GB but one can
always add a micro SD card in the memory slot. Measuring 12 mm thick and
weighing 120 grams heavy, the Xperia E1 can support 3G network and
offers WiFi support for faster mobile internet experience. There is no
front facing camera in the handsets.
The devices come with Bluetooth, FM Radio with RDS and GPS with A-GPS
as well as GLONASS support. Sony will sell the Xperia E1 and Xperia E1
Dual in Black, White and Purple colour options.
Though the exterior of the Xperia E1 and Xperia E1 Dual carry omni
balance design influences, the specifications make the phones very easy
to beat.
The Xperia E1 and Xperia E1 dual SIM will have to compete with the likes
of Micromax Canvas series device along with Karbonn Titanium models,
and Nokia Lumia 525 as well.
